How to take good pictures..does this thought come to your mind?

From a couple of years I been wanting to explore the world of photography. I am always on the lookout for classes or now and then learn from my husband. My husband loves photography and initially I used to get irritated taking pictures all the time, soon I realized how much I enjoyed being in them and also taking them. So here are a few simple easy steps for any armature photographer to start clicking !!

1. Timing of pictures- To take self portrait or people diffused lighting is the best. Early morning or late afternoon is perfect for nature shots.

2. Flash- Flash on at sunlight and outdoors. Indoor use as much as natural light as possible.. turning on the lights is a option if you want more light. Most people do the other way around so now you know -Outdoors : on Indoors: off

3. Face-select on / Focus on Subject -  Most cameras comes with a option of face select on which focuses on subjects or you can do this by centering your subject and pushing the shutter down halfway to lock the focus. Now you can re-frame your picture while holding the shutter down to keep your subject in focus.

4. Self portraits - A variation on the idea of zooming in on one part of the body is to obscure parts of your portrait subject’s face or body. Doing this means that you leave a little to the imagination of the image’s viewer but also focus their attention on parts of your subject that you want them to be focused upon.

5. Taking series of shorts- Switch your camera to continuous shooting mode, doing this you create a series of images that could be presented together instead of just one static image or you can just pick the best short in case your hands are shaking in the first image.
